Program Overview
The Bachelor of Commerce degree (B.COM) has the objective of preparing graduates in the commerce field. It aims to provide the knowledge, tools of analysis, and skills to students, which to understand and participate in the modern business and economic world and to achieve success in their professional careers. This course is offered at ASM’s Commerce, Science, Information Technology (CSIT), one of Pune’s best colleges located at Pimpri-Chinchwad.
This course is well suited for Commerce graduates who will be able to use knowledge of major economic theories, concepts, principles, arguments, and practical in key areas of the organisation. They will be able to better analyse firms problems and generate realistic solutions through various macroeconomic theories, as relevant to current macroeconomics policy and issues. Students will demonstrate knowledge of microeconomic theory as it relates to the firm’s markets, goals of the firm, government policy, and resource allocation, etc.
This course provides comprehensive technical business knowledge and enterprise skills to make quantitative decision analysis. Students will learn to apply basic mathematical and statistical skills necessary for the analysis of a range of problems in economics. The course gives knowledge of accounting, costing, marketing, marketing management, and banking & finance, business management, domestic and international economic and organisational environments. It also evaluates national and international debates and discussions on economic, commercial, and business basis.

Objectives
- The Bachelor of Commerce degree has the objective of preparing graduates in the commerce field. - Commerce Graduates will be able to use knowledge of major economic theories: concepts, principles, arguments and practical in key areas of organisation. Analyse firms problems and generate realistic solutions.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of macroeconomic theory as it relates to current macroeconomics policy and issues.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of microeconomic theory as it relates to firms markets, goals of firm, government policy, and resource allocation etc.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of key concepts underlying quantitative decision analysis.
- Apply basic mathematical and statistical skills necessary for analysis of a range of problems in economics

Eligibility
- No Candidates shall be admitted to the First Year of the B.Com. Degree Course (2019 pattern) unless he/she has passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education Board or equivalent or University with English as a passing Course.
- No candidate shall be admitted to the Third Semester examination of the second year unless he/ she has cleared first two semesters satisfactorily for the course at the college affiliated to this University.
- No candidate shall be admitted to the Third Year B.Com. (Fifth semester) Degree Course (2019 pattern) unless he/she has cleared all the papers of first and second semester Examination of F.Y. B.Com. and has satisfactorily kept terms for the second year (Third and Fourth Semester) and also fifth semester for the third year of B.Com) satisfactorily in a college affiliated to this University.
